Brooks Mausoleum, Homewood Cemetery

A typical Doric cube of the early twentieth century. The stained glass is rather good. Charles A. Brooks was interred here in 1906, and Anna Cloyde Woodward Brooks in 1931; according to cemetery records, they are the only residents.

  1. I love your site. But The dates for Mr and Mrs Brooks are incorrect (common occurrence with cemetery records). Mrs Brooks died in 1961, not in 1931. See her obit in the January 21, 1931 issue of the Post-Gazette. Her late husband was a VP of the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company. He died 17 Dec. 1950. These dates can also be verified through their death certificates. They had no children.
